Cody is a professional groomer since 2009, and is certified in Pet CPR & First Aid. Her love for animals started at a young age helping her Grandma with dog chores on their farm as her Grandma raised dogs. During her senior year in high school, she job shadowed at the Britt Vet Clinic during study halls to gain more experience. Cody continued her passion for pets after high school at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA where she graduated with an Associates degree in Veterinary Assisting and minor in Pet Grooming in 2009. During college, the flood of 2008 in Cedar Rapids turned her campus into an animal shelter housing over 1,000 animals. Cody was lucky enough to be a volunteer taking care of the animals everyday during the flood. While attending college Cody also had the opportunity to intern at a veterinary clinic in North Liberty, IA and after graduating she worked full-time at a doggie daycare as a manager and groomer in Coralville, IA. Cody has taken her experiences and knowledge back to her hometown of Kanawha in hopes of growing Pampered Pets into the best pet business in North Central Iowa!
